- This course aims to provide students with a cognate undergraduate degree the opportunity to link the breadth of general management knowledge and skills of a MBA with the depth of expertise in a chosen business discipline. Students entering BS16 Master of Business (Study Area A) (Advanced) are granted up to 48 credit points of advanced standing if they have an undergraduate degree in a cognate area. As entry to BS24 requires students to have an undergraduate degree in a cognate discipline, the double Masters degree builds on this arrangement by offering students the opportunity to complete a Study Area without needing to complete 48 credit points of introductory level units and without having to complete the MBA elective units that would be granted as advanced standing in BS16 and BS17.

- Students must demonstrate proficiency in the English language; hold a bachelor degree in any field from a recognised university with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on QUT's 7-point scale; have a GMAT score of a least 550; have a minimum three years full-time equivalent relevant managerial or professional work experience post degree; and provide two referee reports.

- Students must complete the application form and attach it with the following documents: certified copies of official academic records (other than from universities in Queensland) for tertiary studies, documentation of employment experience, documentation of English Proficiency test results and residency status and change of name. All documents must be originals or copies certified by a Justice of the Peace (must provide registration number) or Commissioner of Declarations (must provide registration number), or by QUT Student Centre staff. The completed application form must be submitted to QUT Admissions, Student Business Services, Victoria Park Road, Kelvin Grove, Qld, 4059, Australia.
