This course provides graduates with specialist naturopathic clinical knowledge and skills to become future leaders within the naturopathic profession. It includes in-depth studies in medical science, research, herbal pharmacognosy and clinical herbal medicine, nutritional biochemistry and clinical nutrition/dietary medicine, clinical case taking, and communication and professional interaction. The role of the naturopathic clinician is to facilitate this process through teaching and providing a range of holistic medicines. The study of naturopathic discipline includes herbal medicine, diet and nutrition, flower essence therapy, nutritional supplementation, naturopathic diagnostic techniques including iris analysis, along with a general understanding of many other forms of therapy.

Students must have a successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent (e.g. GCE, Advanced Level or Diploma course). Mature students (18 years of age and over) may be admitted to a course without meeting the formal academic requirements, if they have any relevant work experience or other acceptable qualifications.

The Brisbane campus is situated on a peaceful leafy two-hectare site, just 2 km from Brisbane's central business district. The Australian College of Natural Medicine provides various types of accommodation which is Temporary Accommodation on Arrival and this can be arranged for a period of one week and will be hotel style accommodation. Permanent Accommodation involves the student living with an Australian family. The cost generally includes two meals (breakfast and dinner) during the week and three meals on the weekends. Rooms may be single or shared and costs vary accordingly. Private or Church-owned Boarding Hostels are available for both tertiary and non-tertiary students. Facilities include shared bathroom and kitchen so that students can prepare their own meals. For newcomers to the country, living in a hostel is a good way to meet other students in a comfortable study environment. Share Accommodation often suits students once they have been in the country for some time and are comfortable with their new country's living arrangements. Rental Accommodation is normally unfurnished and one month's rent in advance is usually charged plus a bond (or security deposit) prior to signing a lease agreement.
